You’ll find dedication runs higher than the hills at Folsom Ridge Farm raising Rocky Mountain Horses. Owned by Jill and Doug Drenik, Folsom Ridge is located on 170 beautiful acres halfway between Cincinnati, Ohio and Lexington, Kentucky. Facilities include three barns, indoor and outdoor riding arenas, multiple pastures with shelters and miles of riding trails offering breath-taking views of the Dry Ridge hills, valleys and lush wooded areas.

 

Folsom Ridge Rockies are bred in limited numbers each year, in order to raise foals with the individual attention that will evolve into your perfect companion. Breeding begins with champion producing sires and dams, selected for temperament, intelligence and gait.  Foals are handled from birth on a daily basis, building trust and confidence. By using “natural horsemanship” ground training methods the horses’ inherited intelligence, versatility, good nature and smooth gait are enhanced. When the horses are developed, both physically and emotionally, their solid foundation is built upon with under saddle training for a wide variety of riding disciplines.
